How it’s Works

The Tramigo T22-V (T22-C)  unit is placed in a vehicle or other static or moveable asset, the user only needs a mobile phone to check its location. The Tramigo T22-V (T22-C)  regularly updates its position from the Global Positioning System (GPS) satellite navigation system. Inside the Tramigo T22-V (T22-C) is a GSM modem/phone and a SIM card, so all you need to do is send a text message (SMS) to use the system. No third party servers are required with the Tramigo T22-V (T22-C), so your locations are always secure.

For example, a text message containing the word “find” is sent to a vehicle's Tramigo T22-V (T22-C)  mobile number. The vehicle sends a message back to the owner showing the current location: “Your tramigo is parked, at Victoria Railway Station, City of Westminster, London, UK 52 29`41"N 00 08`41"W 17:03 Mar 26”

What is it & What Does It do?

The Tramigo T22-V (T22-C) is a small tracking device unit, about the size of a cigarette packet. Inside, 
is one of the latest high sensitivity GPS receivers, a GSM modem/SIM card, memory and a battery.

The Tramigo T22-V (T22-C) is battery powered (hardwire power optional) and contains the latest high-sensitivity GPS Sirf Star III chipset, which means it can work in the glove box of your car or certain enclosed spaces. About the size of a cigarette packet, it is also small and light enough to put in a pocket or bag.

The Tramigo T22-V (T22-C) has an inbuilt map database with thousands of landmarks and also allows you to add your own landmarks such as home, office and other personal locations. You can simply check the location of your important assets or loved ones with user-friendly SMS commands directly from your mobile phone. There is no need for a computer or access to the internet, so you can check locations of your assets from wherever you are, as long as you are in GSM coverage.

The Tramigo T22-V (T22-C) needs only a normal SIM card (prepaid or postpaid) and it is ready to use. Pay the one-off purchase price and there are no monthly fees or additional charges other than for text messages sent or calls made from your Tramigo T22-V (T22-C) to other phones. How It’s Works!

The GPS receiver inside the T22-V (T22-C) regularly computes its position by referencing to GPS satellites in orbit around the earth. It makes its latest computed position available to the GSM modem. The T22-V (T22-C) unit will receive a request for its position, sent by text message to its unique telephone number, from a standard mobile telephone. The T22-V (T22-C)’s modem automatically returns its latest position by sending a text message back to the mobile phone.

You can use a PC with a Tramigo T22-V (T22-C) to show the position on a digital map. Send text messages from your PC (using a suitable GSM modem plugged into your PC) and the T22-V (T22-C) will return the position to your PC where it can be displayed on the digital map using “TrackMeGo” PC software, available from Tramigo.

You can also plug in a cable to the T22-V (T22-C) and connect it directly to the USB port of your PC. The T22-V (T22-C) can then be configured to output the GPS position data directly to your PC so you could use it as a source of GPS data for vehicle navigation software or for marine chart plotting.

If you have a SmartPhone or Windows Mobile PDA, specially written software is also available for interfacing with the Tramigo T22-V (T22-C) from these systems.
